“Helping people get beautiful skin is not something I do on my own”
All the beautiful things I do, I no longer do on my own of course. These days I have great team of experts surrounding me. Each with their own expertise and talent, but all extremely passionate. From skin therapists and scientists to graphic designers, art and copy people. I would like to introduce them to you.
Is always there, and has always been there. With Jetske and for Jetske. She really knows everything about the company. From stock control to human resources. Maintains the contact with the suppliers, the distributors and the media. Did we mention Rotterdam humour? Oh yes…but funny in French as well. Still does ballet, wears cool jumpers and would actually prefer to print out every single email.
A trained skin therapist. But these days she prefers to engage in product development. And scientific research. And content creation for social media and blogs. And, and … Well, actually in anything that is conceived in Rotterdam. Really always too busy and therefore regularly taking refuge behind large headphones. A stayer in running shoes as well.
Has a passion for skin care, beauty, and history and firmly believes these topics go hand in hand. Loves connecting modern scientific knowledge with insights from historical beauty rituals and ingredients. Has a background in research, journalism, and cosmetic science. Frequently travels to Paris for (scientific) research, where she treats dancers from a well-known club by appointment. An unusual combination … but that’s exactly what she loves!
Dr. Peter Velthuis has been working with us behind the scenes for many years as the supervisor of our Skincare Centre. He works closely with our skin therapists, for instance by reviewing treatment plans whenever medication may be required. With his extensive experience as a dermatologist and deep knowledge of a wide range of skin conditions, Dr. Velthuis knows exactly how to help improve skin.
Lives for socials: Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok. Knows every skincare trend and has seen all the series (really, all of them). Always bursting with enthusiastic, creative ideas for the latest promotions. Strangely enough, she jots them down with an old-fashioned pen in a notebook. Classic Renske: loud footsteps on the stairs, intense typing, and tons of cheerfulness. But appearances can be deceiving—she loves beating you on the tennis or padel court (and often does).
You like Dr. Jetske’s style? The look and feel of all the products? All the artwork, the packaging, but also the banners, booklets, magazines, and last but not least the gift cards? It’s hers; Wouke’s creative mind is behind them. Wonderful character, pleasant sense of humour. And positive, at all times! Likes to collaborate with 1 + 1 adding up to 3. Also attended the Academy of Art.
Latest addition to the text team. ‘Language lover’ who really dislikes the use of these kinds of trendy English expressions 😊Used to be a Dutch teacher, loves to write, and loves proof reading even more. And books of course, lots of books (‘one day I would like a book case reaching to the ceiling with one of these stepladders’). Travels by train. Always, because then you can read. And also, a very special voice.
Self-willed, original and with a good view on things, especially through her lens. Responsible for all the nice pictures of Dr. Jetske Ultee on Instagram, and for the videos and product shots. Trained at the Academy of Arts. Other keywords: great outfits, snazzy scooter, her own self-designed bottle of bubbles Odette and wonderful pins.
Skin therapist and foodie with the patience of an angel and a face to match. She is living proof of what you can achieve with good skincare and lifestyle advice. She loves sharing that knowledge and experience with others because she knows how truly upsetting skin problems can be. Amber always starts her day cheerfully with a green smoothie or blueberries. She knows delicious recipes for people with intolerances and allergies and would love to learn even more about nutrition and the skin.
You can immediately tell that Sascha is in the Skincare Centre. Her infectious laugh is easily recognizable, even three floors up. And she brings that enthusiasm into the treatment room with her. Her favorite treatment? OPL (light pulses). Because you see immediate results: blood vessels “disappear,” or pigmentation spots darken. And that’s exactly why she became a skin therapist: she’s passionate about helping people overcome their skin issues. But that’s definitely not her only strength.
