Is There a Link between Diet and Acne?

More studies are emerging showing a link between diet and acne (you can find scientific sources here and here). There is now proof that acne can be aggravated through eating and drinking milk products. This seems to be due to the hormone type substances contained in the products. Food substances with a high sugar content can also encourage acne. The sugar levels in your blood regulates the production of insulin. Insulin then stimulates the production of androgens and these in turn increase the production of sebum.

In simpler terms: you can eat and drink milk and sugary products but watch out, not too much of them…as there really is a link between diet and acne.
