Chocolate Gives You Spots; Myth or Not…?
It is not long before Easter is here! I’ve just got through the stockpile of Christmas chocolate letters, and my whole house is full, once more, with Easter eggs, bunnies, hares and chicks. I don’t know where they all come from….You won’t hear me complaining, though, you can wake me up in the middle of the night for chocolate! And luckily eating chocolate is good for your mood, energy levels and blood vessels. Above all, in spite of the fact that thousands of people otherwise claim, it really doesn’t give you spots. At least, that is what experts have, for years, let us believe! At the yearly congress of the American Society of Dermatology, I had a rude awakening. I came across an investigation from the University of Miami which finally did find a link between eating pure chocolate and spots. The more chocolate the participants ate, the more spots appeared. I don’t know if I’m so happy with this investigation. So, for the time being, I am going to forget I have read it, at least, until I’ve eaten my way through Easter. It’s too nice!
Have a good weekend, Jetske.
