Myth: Drinking Plenty of Water Improves Acne

Assuming that drinking lots of water is good for your skin is probably one of the biggest myths around. According to Jeffrey Dover, Professor of Dermatology at Yale University, this statement is untrue: water passes through the body too rapidly to have enough of an effect on the skin. Although people who don’t drink enough and become dehydrated do notice a difference in their skin. In this case the skin loses its elasticity.
