Beauty Is in the Eye of the Beholder
In the book “The Beauty Myth” published in 1991, the author and feminist Naomi Wolf spoke extensively about the fact that beauty as a universally objective entity does not exist. Also looking back through the centuries we can see that the beauty ideal has changed. And here we all want to have lovely brown tan while in Asia women do everything in order to have a beautiful white skin.
Yet the famous phrase “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” may not be true. Research has revealed that even new born babies look longer at faces which meet the classic beauty ideal. How remarkable! The full article about this can be found here.
