Product information

This product for the face and body contains extremely mild ingredients and the safest sun filters around. Also, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) has been added to the Suncover sun cream. This ingredient has been shown to offer extra protection from the sun. In addition, Niacinamide can soothe the skin and strengthen the barrier function. Suncover can be used by adults as well as children. Use the generous one litre bottle for the entire family.

Dr. Jetske Ultee: “A few years ago, I started the national ‘Smeer je in!’ campaign. I wanted to make parents and children aware of the importance of good sun protection. Not just on the beach or on holiday, but also on the schoolyard, the sports field and in the park. Because the sun also shines there! Especially for the campaign, I developed Suncover, a non-profit product with only mild ingredients and the safest filters I could find. I opted for a generous one litre bottle with a pump. Very handy for example for schools or day-care centres, so that all the children could be covered in sun cream during the break. By now, there is also a smaller bottle. Use it for the entire family!”

So far the best, does what it is supposed to do. With other products burns quickly with this product NOT! (Of course use your wits about you in terms of time in the sun) Disadvantage: does feel very sticky, more than other products but we take that for granted because of its good effect.

The sunscreen is slightly less sticky than other sunscreens but the difference is not so great that I would order the product again. Besides, I got very irritated skin after using the product.

Bye Linda, How annoying to read. What symptoms are you currently experiencing on the skin? Mainly redness or bumps? We would be happy to advise you. Of course, you can always return the product if you are not satisfied.

Frequently asked questions
What does water resistant mean?

Water resistant means that the product is resistant to water for longer. This doesn’t just apply to water from the swimming pool or the sea, but also to the sweat on your skin. However, water resistant doesn’t mean to say that the product is waterproof. No product is. Thankfully that claim is no longer used for sun creams. You need to reapply every 2 hours and after swimming.

Can the pump of the 1000 ml bottle be ‘locked’?

In the event you want to take the bottle with you, you can ‘lock’ it so that during transport no cream is accidentally pressed out of the bottle. You turn the pump a quarter turn clockwise (to the right) and the pump is ‘locked’.

What does ‘non-profit’ mean?

Non-profit means that there is no profit motive. The proceeds of the sun cream go straight to the Sunwiser Society. This means that, among other things, the money can be used to develop new teaching materials for the ‘Smeer je in!’ campaign.

What is the difference between this Suncover and the Suncover from previous years?

In September 2023, we transitioned to a new version of Suncover. Thanks to new developments, we discovered how to make our sun protection even more sustainable and improved the spreadability.

What is the difference between the new and the old Suncover?

In April 2020 we switched to a new version of Suncover. An important difference is that this new formula is also water resistant. In addition, the spreadability has been improved; the product absorbs faster and will feel less sticky. Also, the cream will leave less of a white layer. And very important: An extra sun filter has been added to the new Suncover.

Can I use Suncover for my face?

You can use Suncover for your body and your face. In addition, Dr. Jetske Ultee has developed a sunscreen product especially for the face, containing higher concentrations of active substances such as antioxidants (Suncare SPF 15 and Suncare SPF 30).

How long can I keep the sun cream?

The sun cream will last for 12 months after opening. The ‘open pot’ symbol on the side of the bottle displays this.
