There are some random stories on ‘young skin’\u00a0in circulation. Using anti-wrinkle creams too early will accelerate the skin’s ageing process. Fortunately, in reality, it\u2019s a little more subtle. If you compare products for the more mature skin with ‘the younger variant’ you will notice that, apart from the price, there is very little difference between them. It is much better to base your choice of a cosmetic product by looking at your skin’s condition than at your age; is your skin dry or slightly oily, is your skin very tolerant or is it sensitive. Because, what may be a suitable product for you, isn’t necessarily the same for your neighbour.<\/p>\n

However, there are some cosmetic ingredients which aren’t actually suitable for young skin. Examples of this are Vitamin A Acid and stronger exfoliating ingredients such as Glycolic Acid <\/a>or Lactic Acid. Although these ingredients can vastly improve a mature skin, they just cause irritation to young healthy skin. Before you go throwing all those expensive pots away; Vitamin A Acid <\/a>is only available on prescription from the Doctor and exfoliating substances such as Glycolic Acid are not included in regular cosmetic products. Nevertheless, an Exfoliant such as Salicylic Acid or a cream containing Vitamin A Acid can be very beneficial on young skin which has blocked pores or acne<\/a>. Use it carefully though!<\/p>\n
