Lip balm product advice
Product advice for lip balms 2020

I would like to talk in more detail about lip balms. I do get lots of mails about them every autumn and winter. About what I actually use myself, and whether I have any good DIY tips. Recently, though, I have been seeing that increasingly more of you are concerned about how safe lip care is. And that isn’t so strange because if you research lip balms on the internet the first things you read are scary stories about all sorts of hazardous substances in these products. And isn’t it right that you could ingest them without realising? After all, you do apply them on your mouth…

Hand care

I once read in a study that people wash their hands, on average, 8.6 times a day. Women 10 times a day even. How often will that be now? It is extremely important but it’s not quite as pleasant for the skin on your hands. I’m sure the majority of people realise that by now. So I’ve got a few tips to keep your hands in good condition. Cleansing of Normal to Oily Skin
Help with cleansing normal to oily skin

As you may have already read in my previous blog, cleansing properly is essential for beautiful skin. But what may be a good product for your skin may be the wrong one for the person next door. Help with choosing your sun cream

Which sun creams are good and which ones should you steer clear of? I understand this isn’t always easy for you. Because if there’s one product which professes to do everything, it’s a sun cream. And then all the misleading claims…‘only needs to be applied once a day’, ‘100% protection’, ‘safe tanning’, ‘you only need a small amount’; such statements give me goose bumps.

A (miracle) cream for 500 euros?

No matter how hard I try, I am still unable to convince people of the fact that miracle creams do not exist. Good skincare products can make your skin firm, smooth and radiant again, but that requires a good deal of patience. Wrinkles that just melt away like snow? There is no such thing; honestly! And yet, more and more people have assured me lately that the cream which was demonstrated recently in the shopping centre, the outlet centre, the new warehouse or at a cosmetics party made their skin ‘in no time’ beautifully smooth again.

The same products, big price difference

Expensive products are sometimes better in quality, but very often you are paying purely for the beautiful presentation, an exclusive marketing campaign and a feeling of luxury. As with clothing, bags and sunglasses, cosmetics is also an experience. Yet, ultimately you want value for money when buying something because of what it promises. So: can it also be cheaper?

Hand Care

Research has shown that people, on average, wash their hands 8.6 times a day. It is actually slightly higher for women; they scrub their hands a minimum of 10 times a day. All that washing is completely understandable when you think that around 80% of infections are spread through contact, but it is not as beneficial for the skin on your hands. Soap and water are an assault on the skin and all that washing doesn’t give the skin enough time to recover. And in the winter months your hands have to endure even more with the cold, wind, rain, low humidity and extra hot showers. Today I’ve got some hand care tips that they’ll stay in top condition.
