And all of a sudden its spring. Oh how Ive been looking forward to it. It feels as though the cold dark days become more challenging every year. If I can, I try and escape the cold winter briefly for a holiday to a faraway tropical destination with my family. Great! Sadly, my skin is considerably less [...]

I am often asked during interviews about new products, ideas and trends. Nine times out of ten, trends and ideas are devised by marketing departments and have little scientific basis. Having said that, I am still always interested, as it only takes one to come along which would solve all of our skin prob[...]

In my last blog I talked about the best way to preserve your skincare products, especially when temperatures rise. But how does that affect make-up? And perfumes, arent they also sensitive to heat?
Make-up (foundation, bb and cc cream, concealer, lipstick, etc):
Even though you keep liquid make-up out [...]

Why you can still suffer damage even with sun cream on...
It is running far from smoothly in the sun cream world. If a little unlucky you are using a product which visually appears to be doing its job properly, because you no longer burn, but meanwhile you are suffering damage. This is due to the differ[...]

A lesson in sun protection

Last month, on one of the warmest days of the year, I received a visit from a photographer who came to take photos for the cover of the Reaal Insurance magazine. The theme was Autumn and I had to amend my clothes choice to fit in with this!
And then it was autumn
Before I knew it, I was dressed in a suede poncho sitting infront of a roaring fire. Meanwhile, outside the thermometer read 35 degrees! One week later (and the baby sparrows are still falling from the roof) I wrote a piece for Reaal about the best way to prepare your skin for au[...]

I regularly give interviews about sun protection. And I am incredibly happy that I get the opportunity, as the more people that know how to protect themselves in the sun the better. Not only, of course, to prevent skin ageing, but also to stop the explosive increase in the number of people with skin cancer.
Did you know that more people die each year of skin cancer than road traffic accidents? Strange then isn't it that we learn how to behave in traffic, but we don't really know how we need to rub it in. Seeing as my blog "The quest for the perfect sun cream" is the most looked at of all my blogs and that [...]

We aren't going for the easy option today, instead we're going to do this the hard way. No stories about how important it is to protect yourself against the sun, just big long lists of ingredients that you would rather forget about. However you do need to look through this
If you want to protect yoursel[...]
